Priority issues to track
- Doctor-note requirement under DOL review (July 2024) — keep every communication and escalation ticket.
- Attendance points added after FAMLI/FMLA leave or when using Bridge-the-Gap sick time.
- Medical Records Department demanding extra PHI beyond what FAMLI/FMLA regulations permit.
Immediate steps
- Document every CCS/CCS Mobile/Link entry, supervisor call, and doctor-note request immediately.
- File for Colorado FAMLI and federal FMLA simultaneously and screenshot approvals before traveling.
- Use the Investigation Survival Guide to exhaust the AFA grievance path (Preliminary Hearing → System Board) even if you plan to seek outside counsel.
- Report retaliation via ASAP if safety issues intersect with discipline.
Documents to save
- CCS attendance history + points ledger for at least 12 months.
- Copy of every FAMLI approval/denial and United LOA approval letter.
- Grievance filings, hearing notes, and System Board tracking numbers.
