Priority issues to track
- Supervisors demanding employees “cover their shift” even after FAMLI approval.
- Lack of written policies—discipline is sometimes issued verbally with no supporting document.
- Vendors refusing reasonable accommodations after workplace injuries (OSHA + ADA crossover).
Immediate steps
- Request every discipline or investigatory notice in writing and copy your Teamsters steward.
- File Colorado FAMLI regardless of what the vendor payroll office says—state approval supersedes internal point systems.
- If injured, file an OSHA/Workers’ Comp report immediately and keep the claim number handy.
- Loop FALDF in when the vendor threatens termination or repayment; we can coordinate with Teamsters counsel.
Documents to save
- Timecards and Kronos/ADP attendance exports for at least 6 months.
- Colorado FAMLI approval letters and text/email confirmations from the vendor.
- Union grievance forms or steward notes from investigatory meetings.
